About Roseland

Located in the city’s far South Side (13 miles S of the Loop), the Roseland community is recognized as one of Chicago’s largest and most populated southern neighborhood areas. Comprised of seven smaller communities, Roseland is home to a variety of housing types and styles, several parks, and the Chicago State University campus. The Roseland area boasts a relaxed vibe, pleasant atmosphere, and a wide range of amenities. The neighborhoods of Fernwood, Princeton Park, Lilydale, the southern portion of West Chesterfield, Rosemoor, Sheldon Heights, and West Roseland make up what is the Roseland community area.
